January 12 a time for a change :)After writing here for one year plus, i decided to switch to a new environment! For the fun of it :D
December 22 one thousand and oneOne thousand and one things happened recently. Of which ten of them are unusual.
N1 ~> I have a Geek as boyfriend. I know he is good with computers. I didn't know the geeky face of him as he has managed to conceal pretty well. He showed that elusive side during a recent trip to Sim Lim. It ain't bad. It's actually good since I am a C-I so we complement prefectly. Cool to know something different.
N2 ~> This bf bought me an iTouch for my birthday. He went on to hack it like he did with his nano. Now I can pay alot more games. Yesterday, he hacked his Canon Ixus and proudly annouced how he could adjust the shutter speed + play connect four. Cool, i have a new toy.
N3 ~> The same bf found a mobtv promotion which allows users to have 7 days of free subscription of Mobtv. And so I am ahead of Little Nyonya's story. I really wanna talk about this show soon. It is both inspiring and intriguing.
N4 ~> Through Mobtv, i watched Life Transformers. A variety show hosted by Christopher Lee and Quan Yifeng about the poorest group of Singaporeans. I was appalled by their living conditions and fate. I cried at most episode mostly induced by young kids and old folks in the show. I was affected to the extend that i started cleaning up my house. Everyone should watch the show and start cherishing ur life and weigh ur decisions.
N5 ~> I met Jiayi yesterday after more than 1 year of not seeing her. She is still as cute and bubbly as ever. We watched the movie Twilight. The male lead Edward is a must watch. Why is god is unfair to the extent of bestowing such beauty onto a single man.
N6 ~> I watched Yes Man. A movie starring Jim Carrey. It was a good watch. Funny yet inspiring. Thou shalt start living life. Embracing life and living it to the fullest.
N7 ~> Had a good evening watching Singapore Vs Vietnam LIVE at National Stadium. Despite a full stadium, Team Singapore managed to lose to Vietnam. Leaving thousands of Singapore fans leaving the stadium disappointed and disgraced. The tiny group of jubilant Vietnamese took their revenge against the thousands others whom had played their parts in booing them or their countrymen. It was a shame because there were so many chances and so many times the ball was bought near to the goal but didn't got in. Never mind, better luck next time.
N8 ~> The bball ISG that i participated in bought back good results. Despite having an smaller team and a group of overall less skilled players, we managed to get into semi final. All thanks to the great tactics played. It was the first time we tried incoporating tactics into playing bball. IT WORKED ! I am so glad. :D Later on is the semifinals. Good Luck to me!
Ni9ht N1gn+ :0 December 15 of trash, rubbish and dirtToday is a day to commemorate. It shall be named as " Weight falls back to pre-China period" day. I am clueless as to why my weight fall though i still looked the same. Perphaps i have been like that since one year ago and i have been too slow to realise the obvious fact. But i swear i could fit into a particular pair of short which i cannot now. It must be my washing machine's super ability in shrinking clothes. Anyway, i get complacent and happily ate the dinner yap and i cooked today. Magically, my weight immediately bounce 0.8kg up.
Some women can be incessant about their weight and figure. I happen to be one too ! It's fun to irritate those who loves this topic by going nonstop about it till they are sick. One of my tiny pleasures of life.
Another good news is the successful application of OCBC cycle singapore. I managed to get the early bird price. One of the few times in life when i am early. I'll be going for the 40km.. If u happen to be interested, go to www.ocbc.cyclesingapore.com.sg . I'll get a cycling jersey. I sincerely hope it's not gonna be ugly ocbc red&white colours.
I have been watching Little nonya recently... If u happen to be a avid fan of Channel 8 who subscribes to mobtv, maybe you can share it with me.. The food looks sooooooo delicious.. I'll be heading to malacca to eat for myself. Should be yummy :) Presents for those who are willing to share mobtv with me ~~
And my sister got chicken pox. If u haven't got it, i prefer u not touch me in a bid of getting MC or whatsoever.
December 10 Run fat boy Run !
baby finished his first half marathon on sun :) He did it while i was sleeping ! December 02 9 little Mountain PigsI went to Pulau Ubin last sunday with gip friends. The difference between this and the previous ones was the sighting of wild boars. Though these famous inhabitants has been commonly sighted, yesterday was the first time I saw them. It should be due to the receding tides and these wild boars came out to hunt for food.
The first sighting was at the bridge when i saw a mother and it's three boar-lets strolling by the beach. These boars looks delicious especially when i see them running around instead of being held captive. Around 2 hours later, as we were on our bicycles and i was accelerating on it, a mother wild boar with her 5 boar-lets dashed passed the road. It made me remember the times when i was hiking across a hilly region and a group of tiny black pigs appeared. Famished and tired, i did habour the killing intention. Amitabha.. Anyway, i turned to the side and saw father boar or cousin boar with 3 other boarlets! It was a day of boars man.. Saw so many boars at one go. Missed my lunch, my mind was conjuring up pork dishes.
Along the way, there were alot jellyfish, big crabs, small crabs which looks delicious as well.
Unable to forget my eye feast, i asked my mum today if my grandfather had ever captured and cooked wild boar before. She said there wasn't any wild boar at all during her kampong days because of the population. I quote from my mum, they swam over from malaysia.
I was amazed. The wild boar version of 出路. They came over to Singapore in search of a better future for their young generation. Perphaps ubin's seaweed and insects tastes more organic. November 25 The flattened worldMy mind is always full of unrelated things during mugging times. As i was studying about "World is Flat", my mind drifted off to setting foot on other continents in this flattened world. It's kind of weird because i have been rejecting alric's proposals to go overseas over and over recently till he felt grounded. It must be 100percent due to the exams.
Though the interest is rekindled, I still have reservations about travelling.. because of :
1) Recession
I could happily ignored it the previous time because i was still young and ignorant but not this time.
( well, it will be over. You should be going to enjoy your last days of freedom)
2) Money
I have been constantly reminded of how rich I am because I have been to so many parts of the world at my tender age. i can only attribute this to my self sacrificing parents whom gave up their chance of seeing the world for their children to do that. It's time I stopped exploiting them and start sourcing for money to feed my interest. This has become a barrier i need to overcome.
3) Clueless
Clueless about my next destination -_- ... Perphaps travelling has been an excuse to free myself from obligations. I just wanna get away but i haven't have any motivation to plan it. Sian ...
Back to why the world is flat. A new family photoOur family is weird. We rarely take family photos. I think we have only 3 up to today.
Yesterday was fun. My mum promised my brother to celebrate his birthday by eating out. But this idiot decided not to go and so ended up with me being the solo birthday kid. When we returned home, my brother drag all of us our to sing him a birthday song.. -_- .. My brother's 18 this year and he's still childish.. He's action was cute.. Like a child. And so we took our third family photo.
My daddy showed off his muscular body !! November 20 I lost my green ZEN STONE!!!I planned to blog about something funny -_- ... I remembered about my battery low Zenstone and wanted to charge it.. -_- After searching my bag for many many times.. I couldn't find it......... -_-
I dunno if i didn't packed it into my bag though i vividly remembered i did. -_-
I dunno if some thief stole it away when i went to have dinner -_-
I dunno on which part of my journey home i dropped it.. -_-
I just used it for only 3 days.. DAMN -_- ....

Cycling up the slope right outside Can B has become a daily ordeal i need to overcome. Although it's only for a short 2 minutes or so, I am always looking forward to escaping into Carpark B when i can comfortably take the lift up. The first time this week when i cycled up that torturous slope, my legs almost gave way. When i reached the lift at last, my heart was pumping at it's fastest and my legs had already went jelly -_-.. Walking on my weakened legs, i tried to push my bike into the lift and it started closing.. (-_-) So I press the lift button. By right, it should open... Little did i know, the one which i wanted to go in remained close while the other lift opened sliently. After waiting about 5 seconds, I realised the other lift had its doors opened. I quickly manoveur my bike towards it and it started closing -_-... Apparently, i wasn't fast enough so i press the buttons again and the OTHER lift open. So i had to manoveur my bike again -_-... I was "played" by the lifts... Sian -_- Damn it
November 13 奇怪的绳子束缚？我也很讨厌它。考试也在限制我的生活、自由。它把我困得很压抑。喜欢做的都害怕做，没有三思不能进行。因为想要从中得到好处，只好象木头志愿待在围栏里。
从关系建立的那一刹那，我们已经被一条看不见的细绳绊住了。不是我绊着你，是绳子。
November 08 Of life and deathIt's this line, " no matter how bad things are, it will pass" . I don't know where this motivational sentence came from and when it get stuck in my subconsciousness. But i have been using it up everytime I am stressed out from all the workloads.. I just keep thinking good times will come, bad times will end and i will be happy again. Such positive mindset has actually kept me going.
While trying to motivated myself, that idea criss crossed with the news of impending death sentence of the 3 bali bombers. What if, the worst thing you are facing is Death himself ? After which, how can i convince myself again that good times will be coming?
Death sentence is so cruel. It rips off from the criminals at the death row the hope to live. It prevents patients with chronic illness from overcoming obstacles. This is when i realized the reason of people seeking asylum in religion. Christians used to stop me at the roads asking me where i would go after death. I will just disappear was my answer. That was when i got introduced to the promised land of Christians.
I might be wrong to suggest this. Being able to have an continuation after death has an important psychological effect. It gives the dying the will to fight or peace prior death. It gives comfort in knowing that there can still be happiness after the most terrible ordeal. This might be why many free-thinkers seek faith when they are dying.
Today is the day I understand why there are some who find death sentence inhumane.
November 03 an amorous postIt's said that unlike women, men have the tendency to be more charming as they aged.. Just like wine :) My daddy is certainly more charming now with his teethless mouth and botak head than 22 years ago when his mane is still thick and black ... Not really sure if his heart will crush upon hearing this -_- .. The point of the entry is to note down how yapp has successfully charmed me today. Of cos bringing food and present did help to increase that attractiveness.. I am sounding like a 花痴 here.... But nevertheless, he is looking more charming than when i first saw him in which his face was a blur... :D
Just wanna get over it by blogging it down so i can get back to studying ( - - |||)

The high school setting brought back many fond mermories.. -_- It makes the whole preparation of my 2nd last exams depressing.. I am graduating next year.( WHAT?!)
Not prepared to leave all the fun and laughter at all ..
I was stuck in a whole mess of ID, IEM, FYP deadlock that i forgot about enjoying school life altogether. This semester makes the most depressing one.. Damn it.. So sucky that i eat very little this few weeks-_- .. Maybe there's hope of losing some of the fats gained from hibernating in China. I shouldn't be sad or unhappy, its sickening. Bad stuff will pass eventually and it's a waste of energy to dwell on it... Great to be back on track again especially after talking to Lynn today. If by any chance, u wanna know more about my cute and available friend, ask me :) She told me to put " I was praised for my presentation today by my teacher" down in my blog for memories. So here it it...:D
Next up for school is to enjoy the tortures of exams till max.
After exams, i should start coming up with other cranky ideas to make myself happier :D...

October 19 The 20 Empty BottlesFew days ago, i launched a help msg in msn asking for kind souls to donate their empty 1.5L bottles to me. It's was a desperate attempt because i got to get my batch culture done and finish up part 1 of my FYP. Didn't know where to find these elusive bottles, i asked everyone around me if they kept empty bottles at home. Most people would throw them right down the chute with others reserving them for future use. It made my search worse.
As I approached my circle of friends for help, coincidentally i received the same reply. " Why don't you buy them? You are entitled to $500 for fyp". I have already busted half of it on my reactor, bro and sis... Anyway, despite the fact that i was short of cash, i didn't want to spend the money buying 20 bottles just for the empty bottles. If i did that, I would be stupid and it was against my view against wastage ... Luckily there were others who pointed me to the right direction like recycling bins and so on.. My Hrm lecturer and *&^% Prof Jim chen have been telling the class about resourcefulness and the message kept disturbing me -_- ... So i decided to be resourceful for once.
After bball on friday, I decided to head to the bball court right outside NTU to scavenge for bottles like a regular karung guni. Luckily Zhihao agreed to company me on the trip. So we head there, and my first bottle was found inside the rubbish bin beside the bball court. Then it was like a gold mine for me with precious empty bottles lying all over the floor. Within minutes, I got 10 then soon it became 18 !! There was a group of skateboarders who was very friendly and took all the empty bottles around them to me. I was touched by the kind act. 18 bottles were impossible to be carried by a pair of hands and Zhihao kindly gave me his 2 plastic bags.
With 2 plastic bags stuffed with plastic bottles and 2 hands holding 7 others, I made my way home. Along the way, curious looks keep shooting towards me. I felt like a celebrity for once.. Hahaha... They must be wondering why this pretty lady who was in sweaty sportswear carrying so many bottles.
What they didn't know is that recycling plastic is now the IN-est thing to do. With crude oil prices so high up in the sky ( though it drop recently), it would be the next profit making business. While we are worrying whether we will still have plastic bags to line our trash bins soon, we should be recycling plastic so that the whole manufacturing can be sustainable.
In case you guys haven't realised yet, the next big wave will be green in color.
October 09 Food-loving boyWhile waiting for yapp to buy his food back at gekpoh food court today, I watched at how this little boy, probably at the age of 4 or 5 eating. He is a stout boy with just a head higher than the table, sporting a crew cut head, a little plump compared to the average, has big round eyes and smooth baby-kinda complexion. From the way he eat, he stood out from everyone else.
He was eating a plate of mixed vege rice with his pregnant mother by his side who eating a bowl of yong tau foo. The way he ate his food is so cute. Unlike his peers who can't appreciate food as much, he made it seemed like the food was delicious. He stuffed his food into his small mouth mouthful by mouthful and in quick successions. Being short, he was practically standing while eating yet still trying his best to eat. He ate both vegetables and meat ,and ocassionally dipping food with some sweet sauce.
The funniest moment came when his mother gave him a piece of beancurd skin which he happily took and bit into it . After which, he release the bite-size beancurd skin from his mouth and dipped in into the sweet sauce before putting it back into his mouth. Apparently, he felt strongly that beancurd skin tastes better with sweet sauce and would not tolerate a sweet-sauceless beancurd skin. Occasionally, he steals some food from his mum's bowl to his plate. When he felt tired from standing, he sat on the chair and strained his neck to continue eating.
He continued munching away while it was my turn to buy food....
When i came back from buying my -not as delicious- XO bak chor mee, he had already finished his rice and drinking soup from his mother's bowl.
I saw a rare foodie at such a young age. He certainly has the ratatoulie spirit with him. Focusing in his food and enjoying the experience.
A chef in making.. October 08 -_-Life has been hectic recently and I am so stressed.. Never in my uni life have I lamented about the lack of time and wished there were 48 hours instead of 24. I have always wished days go pass faster than slower but not this time. If time went pass faster and I achieved nothing for FYP, my grades will suffer.. It's a ongoing process and not a last minute sprint. I am good at last min sprinting but I have no choice -_-.. I am so taxed -_- .. Maybe not that much ... but i am feeling so -_- ...
I understand how and why seniors have been stressed out by FYP now .. after experienced it first hand myself. Sick.. October 02 The Melamine-Eating YYIf anyone has been concerned about the recent milk scandal, you can now be proud to identify a victim among your friends. I was there for 6 months, 3 months ago.. -_- Coincidently, I drank this chinese brand, Meng Niu (蒙牛）,almost everyday. Actually, it's almost twice everyday. I liked it so much that I bought two cartons for daily comsumption. I even bought somemore at Suzhou.. When i was leaving ZJG, i took a picture with it when i was moving out of ZJG as a form of remembrance.
I drank its pure milk for breakfast and its yoghurt drink for dinner. My collegue told me that the cows are from mongolia and it is supposely very rich in nutrients. I did not ask if it was rich in melamine and it was a fatal error.. Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb...Now I know where's the extra nutrients came from.. Actually it's not fatal if consumed in small quantities as said by officials to ease down worries. I suppose they never heard of bioaccumulation. Small quantities of melamine found in your milk is OK provided you drink only one packet. If u drink 10 packets a week like what i did, you will accumulate alot of melamine !!! DAMN IT !! Now i know why there's the 5 kg weight increase, IT's THE MELAMINE!!!!!! It's gonna stay there forever !! i am crapping...

1) One packet of 250ml of Mengniu contains 0.8ppm and the 243ml version contains 4.2ppm. For a conservative study, let's take the 4.2ppm one..
2) One packet of 250ml of breakfast milk contains a variation of 1.9 to 2.57ppm. -> take 2.57ppm
3) One packet of 250ml yoghurt drink contain 7.0 ppm ( damn it )
I drink 1 on saturday and saturday , 2 from monday to friday, 3 from monday to friday ... Let's see how much melamine I have accumulated!
[(4.2)(2)(243) + (2.57)(5)(250) + (7)(5)(250) ] / 10^6 = 0.0140 ml of melamine consumed per week
= 0.0140* 3* 4 = 0.168 ml of melamine consumed in 3 months [ i think i got my cal. right, if not correct me please]
Anyway, you might think you are gonna be fine if u leave milk alone . I am sorry but you are wrong. During one of my presentations, my friend brought this packet of steamed potatoes as a prop and offered to me kindly after that. I commented how nice it was and was planning to buy it if i see it.
A search of the brand in the net shows how popular it is with the locals. Words like addictive caused shivers down my spine.. I bet they are putting on weight too... Bless them ...
The whole issue has put China in the limelight again after the olympics. A series of inethical events lead to the scandal not being uncovered earlier. It isn't a series of unintended event but it was deliberate on the Chinese government's part to play the matter down. It wasn't the first time Chinese products are found to contain toxic materials. There have always been random news about how some unscrupulous owners use some chemicals for the food production so that the food looks more delicious than it was. It has been widely known how some chinese liked to cut corners in the same way and I have been careful about not putting suspicious food into my mouth when i was in China. I thought buying things off shelves of reputable supermarkets was safe, how naive was that. In a dog eat dog environment, the one who cuts most corner to achieve desired results is the winner. They should be re-taught their morals values. Of course, not all Chinese are evil, but these kind souls are not recognised as a role model.

October 01 when do we become slaves for the media?*please watch the video before continue reading*
The above doesn't make the point that being pretty is fake. It hopes to bring across that much of the preceived prefection is an illusion, especially with media.
There's always the tendency to see greener pastures on the other side.
In this case, appearance conscious girls tend to feel inferior while admiring pictures of this gorgeous girl.
After getting the facts, they will realise their stupidity.
Being slim, having flawless skins, wearing glamourous clothes are in the trend now.
Why this is so, is exactly due to media portrayal.
Most of the time, the intention is increase buying desire.
Due to the proliferation of media, people tend to judge based on this guidelines.
Guidelines like slim is better, don't wear shabbily when we go to school are much adopted.
Being slightly fatter than your average girls in commercial is not wrong.
As long as she is healthy and comfortable with her size, you are of no authority to tell her to slim down.
If you feel that she will be better if she slim down, why don't you find other business to meddle?
Having breasts smaller or bigger than your average girl is commercial is not wrong.
As long as she is comfortable with her breasts, you are in no position to call her chest an airport or big breasts.
Breasts are naturally grown on a girl's body, for the sake of not disgracing yourself, do not ask what happened to her breast or talk her into getting a breast enlargement.
Breast enlargement commercials are so irritating and I hate Jacky Wu teasing her co-host about their breasts.
What's there to rave about those well endowed figures and why should others be jealous about it?
Why don't you compare and tease each other about who has a shorter pinky finger instead?
It is not just about appearance.
In life, we tend to see good points of others in a superficial way and used it to judge ourselves.
Words like "I wish *our relationship is as smooth as yours*and * insert anything you want* appears so frequently in our lives.
The consequences of such pesimistic thoughts can be deadly.
Life of others are not in anyway better than yours if you are active in living.
Love your life and if you live it to the fullest, you will be rewarded.

It was an overdue read-up on American's presidency candidates. It was actually not a read up but i surfed Youtube for information. It's not difficult to notice Obama's overwhelming popularity after watching some videos. It's probably due to Obama's charisma and Palin's *ignorance* that i enjoyed watching their videos. Till now, I haven't watched Biden's video and almost forget there's a Vice president for Obama. Palin's beauty probably overshadowed her capability that i couldn't be sure if she could live up to the job. McCain's too boring to attract my attention. Sometimes, politics about speaking and "smoking" ppl into supporting the candidate. Only those who are capable get job done. Yet in most times, those who can "smoke" really well gets the commander-in-chief job. Obama definitely can speak and think intelligently. He definitely can inspire people. I like people who inspires. Read his speech and hope u get inspired too~ The world needs people who can inspire others positively. Anyway... I like this video ~
